Pet Style

Once upon a time a dog was considered to be hard to upkeep if it was a toy dog or a larger breed with hair that needed trimmed in order to keep it from getting gnarly.  In fact, many people stuck to the old trusty breeds such as Beagles, Dachshunds, and Labs simply due to the fact that they do not require any regular grooming visits.

However, times have changed and now pet fur stylists are actually the newest trend with breeds of all kinds getting the five star treatments at beauty salons designed just for them. There is actually a great deal of money in the designer pet market as there are people out there with enough money to burn on pet saunas, pet jewellery, pet stylist visits, and more.

There are also plenty of people who probably do not have as much to splurge but who treat their pets as genuine children and are also willing to pay the extra price to make sure their pets get what they deserve.  It’s hard to tell how much the pets actually enjoy it, but a pet café has got to be pretty interesting replacement for the occasional rawhide around the home.

It does not end at just styling and cafes where pets can head for gourmet pet food, as there are also now pet hotels that cater to giving your pet the full five star spa experience while you are out of town.  Move over kennels, because the new pet hotels offer a life for pooches that far exceeds a cage out the back as these pets are spoiled enough that they probably do not even want to leave when their owners come to pick them up, unless of course they have similar perks at home.

The average person may laugh at the idea of designer pet clothes and pet massage parlours, but in reality there is somewhat of a comforting feeling that goes along with knowing that your pets are taken care of while you are away. A survey in Britain found that almost half of all pet owners worry about their pets while on holiday and one out of five refuses to go on holiday without their pets in tow. With numbers such as these, the idea of a pet hotel that can spoil a pet silly is likely a welcome idea to many.

Plus, it is also hard to debate the fact that when faced with the idea of leaving pets at home alone, or with qualified pet sitters, the idea of leaving them with someone else is a great deal more comforting.  With this in mind, if you are one of those people who regularly posts photos to Facebook of your pet, or make sure that your pet is always at your side, looking into gourmet pet food, pet cafes, and other similar pet perks may not be such a bad idea because you know Fido will thank you for it.
